Installation could not have been easier for Belkin N450 or NETGEAR AC1200 and that is always a plus. I have installed Netgear AC1200 for its running within 30 minutes, in comparison to Belkin N450 was installed just for 15 minutes.
Whether you get Belkin or Netgear, you`ll get excellent and consistent 5-bar connection. I could go to every corner of a house with my laptop and still get a connection to the internet. Additionally, I tried Belkin N450 with a PlayStation 3 and I had no connection problems. As a matter of fact, Netgear provides the same good speed and no drops as the above-mentioned router.
Concerning installation - it was easy to set Belkin N450 up and I found the administrative interface really easy to use. First of all, when you set it up to follow the instructions exactly! No shortcuts even if you are just replacing a similar router or think you have a knack for this sort of thing. There is some good news - Belkin supports setting up a separate guest network, so you can share your network with "guests" without risking any of your confidential mainstream data.
There is nothing to compare, as the setup for Netgear AC1200 was very smooth, too. It can detect the 2 bands (2.4G and 5G) from the 150Mbps router. The extender is very reliable and it has not dropped any connection with the router so far.
NETGEAR AC1200 or Belkin N450 – these routers worked great right out of the box. They are also easy to customize to your own preferences. It can greatly improve your WiFi network's speed and reliability.
Belkin is a powerful device, my wireless speed doubled, but versus Netgear, AC1200 connection was not so strong.
I recommend both Belkin N450 and Netgear Ac1200 to anyone that finds that their Wi-Fi coverage is limited.
It was easy to install and pretty straightforward to use. I tried streaming Amazon instant videos and this was flawless with a good strong connection. Also, I have been able to simultaneously use my laptop while having the streaming video as well. No skips, freezing or other common wireless streaming problems thus far.
The fabulous piece of technology does exactly what it is supposed to do. Setup is simple — 10-15 minutes and you are up and running. The range extends over 100 ft. from the home's radius on the exterior with at least one bar. Inside the home, range and signal strength is 100% wherever you are. The bandwidth that the extender provides is much better, too, and supports several concurrent content streams. I can recommend the AC1200 on every level without reservation.
